Is Chrysler paying for the ad with bailout money, or have they already paid it all back?

I worked for Daimler Benz when they bought Chrysler and formed Daimler Chrysler...2 years later the stock was worth less than half the value. Chrysler dragged them right into the toilet. Chrysler has been a loser at least since the 80's...they are so poorly managed they don't deserve to be in business. The bailout was a mistake.

Things must be bad if Clint has to do commercials.

It will take more than an Eastwood ad to get people to buy a car. Chrysler must be really feeling lucky.

"...two minutes along ..."

Along what? Poor proof reading?

If it is two minutes LONG in the S.B., the cost has to be RIDICULOUS, and it implies to me they are DESPARATE.

Go ahead, make my day. All Chrysler needs is a warranty like the south Koreans have...10 years/100,000 miles. They had one several years ago...lifetime.

I don't even think that Clint could bring back the fortunes of Chrysler...

How about forgetting the fancy ads and just producing better quality cars?!

another 2 minutes of the game we miss - actually the players will probably stand around for 2 extra minutes - it's not like a race.

Image is everything. But I will never be persuaded to purchase something due to a celebrity endorsement. I forget what car that Motley Crue is going to showcase during a Superbowl commercial on Sunday. Like the song, like the commercial, but I won't be buying one of those vehicles no matter what.

Eminem last year and Clint Eastwood this year. Chrysler is definately working the celebrity angle to help get their message heard.

Who cares about the adds. Spend the money on developing ways to get more miles per gallon and your company will dominate the market.
